To Ingram researchers:

As many of you may know, my mother Iona May Ingram Sowa, wrote several books on her ancestors.  Following her death in 1997, I obtained her original manuscripts and have occasionally provided copies (at my cost) to others. Now that I am retired, I can devote more time to genealogy, and make more copies of her books for those that want them.

PLEASE NOTE:   The hard copy of her book is no longer available.  It got too expensive for me to print and ship individual copies of the paper version.  However, with the pdf files on the CD you can print individual pages yourself, or can take it to any nearby office supply store (ex: Staples, Office Depot, etc) and they will print one for you.

Mom's writing style will keep you fascinated.  She was an avid history buff, and throughout the book, she discusses the events that influenced our ancestors, along with the genealogical detail.  From my preface to the book "...As one reader wrote in 1995, "I loved the way you interspersed history of the period with the goings-on of relatives."  The books is also well referenced with her sources cited throughout.

The CD includes two versions of the entire book, scanned from the original typewritten manuscript, in pdf format (Adobe Acrobat).   One version includes the entire book in one 31 megabyte file.   The other version includes the entire book broken into smaller files.
