The 1998 #Pub Awards have been awarded! The famous accounting firm of Barbot, Barbot, and Barbot collected and tallied all the votes. Some categories received many votes while others received none. This prompted an executive decision to delete a few categories. In addition to the standard award categories, each #pubber was asked to come up with other categories they felt worthy of mention, as well as tell us one of their most interesting #pub memories or special events from 1998 (in 25 words or less).
A formal ceremony was held on Saturday, 6 February, 1999 in channel, where all the awards were announced. Special thanks go to DEZ for being our Master of Ceremonies, and to tessie who handed him the envelopes. SuzW deserves special recognition for sending out and receiving all the emails, and taking the lead in getting this organized in the first place. Kudos for a job well done!!
I enjoyed my verbal stoushes with honeyfish, but when i eventually caught up off channel and made friends...i've not seen him since. I guess i have that effect on ppl :-( (ok...so it's 31 words...so, sue me!!) Biggs
